Every year I get invited to tons of holiday events, and every year I’m scrambling at the last minute to find a hostess gift right before the event. That was until a couple of years ago.
I actually hosted a Holiday party a while back and someone gifted me a bottle of champagne with a custom-made fabric gift tag. I loved the idea so much that I stole it for myself. It was so simple, but also very personal.
The following year I decided to make a set of my own.
I used cardstock, leftover fabric from the gift card wallet project, ribbon and some scrapbooking embellishments that I found at the craft store.
I simply wrapped the cardstock with the fabric, printed out tags with varying holiday messages on them and added the embellishments. I sandwiched a ribbon between the front and back with glue and voila!
These are kept in the bar drawer, and any time I have a holiday event to go to I can just pop one around the neck of a bottle of champagne or wine and I’m off and running. I still have a few from the original batch!
Thanks for the inspiration Missy!
